Quick update rang cats protection they say Minnie settling well and they are hopeful of finding her a new home as she is such a pretty cat. I was surprised to hear that the least popular cats are black cats? Both my daughters have one black one tabby, youngest daughters are siblings found living under a bush and oldest daughters are mom and daughter from RSPCA rescued from a back alley found abandoned by the bins. Beautiful cats and friendly now after a shaky start. Wonder why people don’t like black cats?

    Morning all.
Love the blues of delphiniums but think I'll be a water lily
Had a black cat many years ago, a stray who kept coming for food so eventually took him in.

Debs, I think you will be lucky with your weather for your week off. Take some time to sit and enjoy all your new planting.

    Happy pottering folks.

Morning - sunny and rather warm already - tortoise weather eh Debs?😎

Planning to do some more cutting back this morning, then cut the grass and a few jobs around the house. Would be good to get finished before about 3pm and then just have some time sitting in the garden.

Forecast to get very hot here next week - low thirties. I am escaping to the south coast - where it looks to be a bit cooler - for a couple of days on Tuesday before we move up to Kent for a mini music festival.

LB - have a good time with the rellies.

Ruby & Chive - enjoy pottering - my favourite thing to do in the garden.

Debs - I’m so pleased to hear Minnie is settling in well. I’m sure so many of her problems have been due to (or at least made worse by) the complete disruption of her home life and routine and she will now have a new routine to learn. With caring people around her I’m sure she’ll be ok. Would be lovely if the CPL can find her a good new home. Fingers crossed.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Debs, that is good news that Minnie is settling well 😸.
A good sign that she will settle well in a new home.

Black cat superstitions are very silly. Good luck, bad luck, which is it supposed to be?... Sheesh, make your mind up superstitious numpties 😤.

Hi’ MU . Love the black cat pic . That superstition is  silly . Get that foot back to the shop. Now that is creepy 🧐😀 Don’t want it finding its own way back 😱.

I'm a tuba with a high score on the violin.

Deb's fingers crossed for Minnie finding a match very soon and snuggling up.  As Topbird says she has had some upheaval and needs a settled routine.   She'll get regular meals and be stroked but wishing for a cosy home for her.  It's muggy today and too warm to even have the toaster on.

Afties all. Debs, you picked the right week to have off as the forecast - so far - is for cracking weather and what nice news about Minnie. That must put all your minds at rest.
Great to see you M-U and that picture is just gorgeous. How can anyone not like black cats? The only cats that spook me are those hairless Sphynx cats. They just don't look 'right'. When you find the foot loose and fancy free dolly M-U, make sure that they get reunited. I would love to know how that leg got into your bag.
Rebecca - have you been having a little cheat with the quiz? You pick, which would you rather be a tuba or a violin?
I just got back in time for it to start spitting and spotting with rain which thwarted my plans but hey, a golden disc in the sky. Maybe its going to improve.

Back home just as the rain started so it will be an afternoon indoors.

M-U, I hope the doll gets reunited with it's foot.  Any space in the old shop for some miniatures?
