AFties all. Just finished an afternoon in the garage potting on stuff. I was a bit cooler in there than outside. Hung in muck, having a cold drink and then I'm off for a shower. Sorry too much information and a bit boring really.
Joyce I'd have been up your friend's stairs (unless she's in a bungalow of course) and keeking out of the window! Time will tell I suppose.
Ante I hope you enjoyed Midsomer. I watch them over and over again.
Debs, that picture reminds me of when I took my Mum to David Austin's place. She loved it.

Hi all! Perfect afternoon at DA roses very hot and some of the roses looked a bit droopy but the scent and colour was lovely. I wanted Gabriel Oak but completely sold out, so went for Boscobel instead.

Thats a gorgeous choice Debs. Get Gabriel Oak another time.

    Boscobel looks lovely Debs.

LB, due to the angle of the houses my friend can't see all of neighbour's back garden from upstairs either but the lady friend has stayed over some nights. We're a sad pair of old women.....

Good evening from a marginally cooler south coast - it’s only high 20’s here. It was already that at home at 8.30 this morning...

Bit of a ‘mare of a journey. A14 was blocked, M25 was blocked and there is so much more traffic down here than at home and the drivers are just so impatient.
( ‘Oi is just a cunnry gel - oi move slower than the tarnies’)

What should have taken three and a half hours actually took over five - exhausting. Went to Lymington this afternoon which was very pretty but it was really too hot for wandering around. About to pop a cold beer which should help with recovery😎

Debs - love wandering around the DA gardens at this time of year (I’ve been 3 times). Did you have a naughty cream tea as well?😉

Glad your t’interweb is sorted Joyce - it’s a pain when it goes wrong.

Hi to everyone else - stay cool😎

Hello T'Bird. Glad you are there safe and sound despite the nightmare journey. I'll bet your OH was glad to see you. A cold beer - or two - sounds just the job.

Well I'm online at last after being booted out todwy.  Topbird I'm glad you've both arrived safely after your long hot journey.  Relax this evening to recharge your batteries and hopefully cool down..  Ante it's fun to have an end of term meal where you can relax and unwind away from the school.  Well it's been a scorcher today, everyone needs a fan to cool down.
