Hazel hope your appointment was okay and you weren't waiting too long.  Happy belated birthday to Luco, Chey.  It has been a very warm today.  I cooked tea but could do with a fan now, crumbs.    The heat drains your energy from you doesn't it.  LB I'm glad you're being careful nettles can easily catch.  I had Thai fish cakes for tea; they were very spicy.  I cooled my mouth with some yogurt.    The doors is open and there is a soft breeze drifting in which is very welcome.

Runners, the little ruby red pips on your lily are lily bulbils. They will drop off when big enough or you can take them off and they will grow on to become new lilies.
You've been very busy Ruby and M-U. Hope that your back is holding up M-U. Lily bites me like that when I'm not paying her much attention.
T'Bird - those sound like nightmare journeys to me Are you away for long? Hope we get more diary reports. Love hearing about your journeys.
    RM - I'm a member too.

LB - OH is already down in the New Forest (he's been there since Friday doing 'stuff') so I'm joining him tomorrow. We're having a day on the Isle of Wight on Wednesday which will feature crab (and other seafood) and a visit to the pubs and hotel in my parent's honeymoon snaps. They were married in 1953 but the pubs and hotel are all still going strong.

On Thursday we're move up to Kent (via Guildford to see my friend) for a mini-music festival over the weekend - just a short break away. May go to  the family home of Vita Sackville-West (of Sissinghurst fame) while we're there - or maybe Chartwell - Churchill's home. Depends how hot it is and how lazy I am...😎
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Watered the rest of the garden . Green flies seem to like me 😒. Finished for the day.

I have just finished the watering and despite all that rain on Friday I've now emptied my water butts again. I used the hose at the top end of the garden. I might have to fill up the water butts tomorrow.
T'Bird - you can only go with the flow as far as driving is concerned. I love driving very early to avoid the mad rush. It can be bliss on the roads then.
Right, as M-U says, I'm hung in muck so I'm off for my shower now.

Runners - I would love some please! Nighty night. Sweet dreams - we don't want any giving your heart monitor a duff reading! BTW - what an excellent and apt name for that nemesia.
Don't forget brainiacs - Uni Chall at 20:30

Well I got 11 right on Uni Chall and two of those were educated guesses. Who would have though that Whitley Bay would feature as an answer!
