I'm not getting them either SGL and like Joyce I've reported it. I think the storms may effect some signals. Not had a storm here yet but I hoping I will.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Evening all. Everyone saying how hot it is please think of us poor people working the late shift. The machines and ovens have all been running continuously since Sunday evening (6 pm), They did give us an extra break at 8.30 with free ice lollies 😁. I am slowly melting in the chair now trying to cool off before I go to bed. Predicted overnight temperatures here are 21 degrees.
Phewwww, it's just too hot to sleep. We were supposed to have rain and storms this evening. But just seems to be getting hotter and hotter. Hope you can all get some sleep tonight, I might go out and sit in the garden for awhile. Night night everyone
01.58 (I looked at the clock!) I received a rude awakening with the biggest crack of thunder ever. Then I was treated to a spectacular son et lumière. Lily, totally unfazed by it all. Lots of much needed rain arrived too.

Spectacular display of lightning last night. Went on for at least 2 hrs - rolling in slowly from the sea and constantly lighting the sky. Very Bram Stoker. Then very heavy rain and perhaps a bit of hail. Had to jump out of bed and run round shutting all the hatches and windows which were all fully open. Rain is always noisy in a tin box - this was truly deafening!
Off to the Isle of Wight for the day. Hopefully it will be a little fresher on an island.
Must shower. SYL.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

You should sleep well tonight T'bird after a tiring journey in the heat.
Thoughts are with those in the quiet corner.
