READ PLEASE if you wish to use J.Parker Dutch bulbs.

Should have read the reviews on trustpilot before giving my money away!

This is a company that promises everything but gives nothing.....

Purchased Antik Geraniums acknowledged order and told delivery albeit 3 weeks late did not arrive even when Hermes said delivered to my door, nothing arrived, called Parkers got the usual "Bullshi?" and agreed to repay my account, never happened nor will.

This company has 2 garden centres turn over of 20 million and unable to deliver or supply anything of quality. I assume this is a revenue stream that keeps the cash flowing with nothing in return.

Lets see what Manchester Office of fair trading has to say.

Stopped using them after the very first time I bought from them. Plants were poor quality but they did refund me. I advise all my friends thinking of going down that purchasing route to avoid like the plague. I've heard of some successful transactions and happy buyers but more of the negative ones.

Perhaps it is just the plants that let them down.

There's been numerous threads here over the years about them. General consensus is that bulbs are good, everything else isn't.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I love Parker’s, been using them and only them for several years since moving into this garden, cheap and cheerful suits me, I have huge shrubs here now, just 1.99 each 6 years ago,  having inherited three quarter acre garden and starting from scratch I couldn’t go to GC and pay 5.99 or whatever for one plant, Parker’s huge packs  of perennials is what filled this originally, still going strong and transplanted around the whole garden now.
Twice I have complained about plants , one was a white Hosta, they replaced it, that one died, it wasn’t suitable for here, so not their fault.
The other was a climber also not suitable for my climate. Got the money back.

I ordered some bare-root geraniums from Parker's earlier this year. At least 3 of the four varieties have turned out to be not what I ordered (and the 4th hasn't flowered yet).  They have refunded me without a quibble but it is disappointing after growing them on for a few months, so I won't be using them again.

I occasionally buy something from them but I take the risk and don't expect any customer service, help or refunds if anything goes wrong. Last time I tried to complain, they didn't even bother to respond to my email.

I ordered from them 20+ yrs ago and never received anything.
When I called I was told in no uncertain terms that the plants had been delivered and they had 'proof' that they were delivered.
I contacted my credit card company and they gave me a full refund.

2 years ago I thought I 'd try them again and ordered some Canna Louis Cottin the photo showed huge chocolate leaves and beautiful deep golden flowers. Of the 9 tubers I received only 2 sprouted. As they grew they had green leaves and tiny pale yellow flowers

I will never use them again

I always use them for bulbs and have found them very reliable myself.

Handy hint, if you go to their wholesale website (dutchbulbs) rather than the retail one, the prices are hugely reduced.

As an example 15 Allium purple sensation are £6 for 15 on the retail site, but just £14 for 100 on the wholesale site.
