Gambis is 6 hours, Goa is nearer 11 if you fly direct , we used to fly to Mumbai and get a connection

And there's me thinking Gambia was more like 8 and New Delhi 10 and a lot closer to the TM than Goa.

The other plus side of The Gambia is that it's due South , so no time difference.

I like to think of it as more of a vendetta. >:)

I hate it when news stories say things like archeologists are 'racing against the clock' to study a site threatened by coastal erosion. Maybe racing against a calendar but you've probably got a few decades of breathing space before it falls into the sea.

I’m baffled why reporters ask for precision ‘Tell me exactly what happened?’ ‘Where exactly were you standing?’ but all they get in reply is vagueness.

Nope ... they’re definitely racing against the clock around here

I recommend The Easternmost House by Juliet Blaxland

Her house was the view from my parents’ bedroom window.

It's only racing against the clock if you ignore the decades of erosion leading up to your house hanging off the edge of a cliff though. We all ignore the odd problem in the house and hope it goes away but it's not like that's a dripping tap that needs a new washer. :#

But folk on the East Anglian coast were told they had several decades left before they needed to worry ... then off shore dredging and coastal protection work further up the coast increased the rate of erosion ... but I thought we were talking about archaeology ... these Norfolk sites are disappearing in front of our eyes
