I know a lot of netball fans. My niece runs a big netball club for kids (actually four clubs running concurrently) and there's been enough demand from parents to start an adult team. I also know of at least a couple of other 'back to netball' groups locally. They're all very excited - I think maybe there's more involvement from England than usual? (or something like that - not something I'm interested in so may have got that completely wrong).

Sorry, that wasn't very curmudgeonly! I can't get annoyed about what gives other people pleasure / keeps them fit... as long as they don't make me watch it!

Some of the girls could make me watch it  :)
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

Dwile flonking ... now you’re talking ... @WonkyWomble ‘s papa used to be in a Dwile Flonking team ... a very good excuse to dress up in women’s clothes and drink a lot of beer 🍻  ... it’d make very good telly ... 🤣
and think of the income from sponsorship ... 💰

Quite. I've no issue with it being televised, I just wish I got a fair share of output for my fair share of input

None of the girls would make me watch it.
Can I just say it's all about balance, where's the balance between sport and "arts"? there is none.

I suppose that the main consideration is who they consider is more likely to buy a McDonald's or get a payday loan -a sport watcher or an opera watcher.

I can't stand watching basketball, and netball to me is basketball for statues.  Watching snooker in black and white would be more entertaining.
