It's certainly one interpretation that could be applied to that, at best, laconic post and, perhaps, you're right, Dove. It is good to know that no regular here would be hostile to a programme about black people, presented by a black person.
I think, Sam only tried to be helpful and I do appreciate her thoughtfulness and kindness.
Unfortunately, I'm one of those who missed today's tennis as I was out for most of the day!
Just back from York where Danny & Dampah (ie Granny & Grandpa) were entertained by our 18-month old grandson, and spent many happy hours helping our son to fill a skip with old wardrobe bits, rubble, old gravel etc.
Many congrats to your Chicklets, Chicky! Great news, and a fitting reward for their hard work (and your support).
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Let’s celebrate National Windrush Day ... something that has contributed an inestimable amount of good to this country and folk to whom we owe a huge amount 🥂 https://www.windrushday.org.uk/
Racism is so virulent in British society because the non-white presence is a visible reminder of the death of an empire that once ruled over much of the world
I don't think you are a regular on this thread, so can I try to assure you that amongst those of us who are, we are a very mixed bunch of colour, gender, religious persuasion and politics, BUT that none of us are remotely racist, it would not be tolerated. I find your assumption, about someone you do not know, to be a little disturbing. Hope this clears up any confusion.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I’ve apparently stepped on some people’s toes, inadvertently. Didn’t recognise the name of the speaker. I’m not at all racist. I even have a cousin who is part aboriginal.
Back to our little gardening chat group, we are off to Canberra yet again for another medical specialist appt for Hubby. We are both fed up with the trips up there, but don’t really have any choice. No gardening here.
It’s very cold here still and more snow falling on the hills. Not in our valley yet though. The ski areas are very happy with the extra business.
Morning all 😀. Hope the trip to Canberra was ok Pat 🤞🏻
Another week at work to face, but looking forward to next weekend already - I’ve got a mini-break of garden visiting with girlfriends to look forward to ......David Austin and Wollerton Old Hall are on the agenda .......very excited 😜🌸🌺🌼🌹

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Great minds think alike!!! (Though the emphasis is somewhat different...)
