    That’s good then, no one needs to write a thank you anymore.

    Be interesting to see what the general feeling is for a Tick rather than a few words.
    I don't think it's either / or - in my world, liking something without a like button just means it stays in my head. Wanting to respond / enthuse / elaborate / disagree uses words. And sometimes I do both, as here:

    Anyway, thanks @Daniel Haynes. Hopefully it'll prove to be handy and positive rather than the end of the world. Only one way to find out!

    I shall endeavour to use the English language to show appreciation, I really do not want to become part of the faceache generation.

    Sorry LG - don't quite get what you mean - could be the lack of sun on my part  :)
    <edit>
    We should be careful tho - Trump is here and as he has an opinion on everything we do here in the UK, he may well have an opinion on this too :D:D
    Sorry - all I meant was that I don't think it's a choice between hitting 'like' or typing a few words. In my case, I would probably hit 'like' where before I would just have thought it but not said anything - ie: my alternative to liking is no response, rather than a textual response. But also, you can like AND type a few words. I suspect that in the most part, some people will use it, some people won't - they'll have the choice as to what suits them...and I'm not sure if I've expressed myself any better this time round :smiley:!

    When it comes to Trump, I find a good rule of thumb is is to do / think / say the opposite of anything he does / thinks / says. That way you can be fairly sure of having sanity and decency on your side ;). If he was in favour of the like button, I'd find myself going off the idea very quickly!

    I agree @B3 ... @punkdoc expressed exactly how I feel.

    I also agree with @LG_ about Trump ... although I suspect he may be right about Huawei ... but probably for the wrong reasons, whatever he says 🙄
