    Hi Everyone.
Seems strange you haven't seen Liquid Seaweed here Obelixx. I kow it's in 'Maison' which used to be Point Vert plus you can get it in a Terreau Mix although I think that is too pricey. Good idea of yours A/B but after Brexit we probably can't import garden goodies. With Comfrey Obelixx remember it loves damp ditches and not too much sun. A shady trench may well work. Can't find anything on Bindweed I'm afraid. Perhaps someone else knows?
Here is the Lunar Calender until end of month.
24/25/26/27th Nov - (That's a long time!) Moon ascending in Pisces so Water and Leaf Days. These are good days to harvest Spinach/Brussel Sprouts and Salads. Also sow Cress and plant Winter Lettuce (if you can still get some from the Garden Centres) in greenhouse or Polytunnel. Fleece up to add extra protection but air regularly to protect against mildew.
26th Nov - Fruit Day. Sow some Round as opposed to Wrinkled Peas in milder areas or try to set some off in Polystyrene Boxes in Polytunnel or Greenhouse. Once again fleece well. (I don't usually bother at this time of year as always get miserable crop, but would be interested if you have other tips for success.) Pop trimmings from late prunings of Soft Fruit particularly Gooseberries and Blackcurrants and stick them in the ground in a sheltered position. They should take root by the Spring (I pop them in pockets of 3 so that I end up with nice Bush)but leave them alone in preference to grow on for a further year without disturbance..
29/30th Nov - Full Moon at 9.29am with an Eclipse of the Moon (no gardening recommended before 2.50pm) on 30th Root Days. Pop in some Radishes in a Nursery Bed and perhaps a few Carrots for pulling as Salad Tops. Once again Fleece well.
Still lots to catch up on in garden but waiting for phone call from Heating engineer as C/Heating gone bust. Knowing the French the promised 'tomorrow' will be 7-8pm tonight!
    Happy Gardening!

Yesterday we lifted all the dahlias out of their bed and I put them ain the polytunnel to dry out and drain.  I hosed them down to remove thick mud and muck as they'll be planted out again soon in a new home.   The hens helped.

Today that bed has been forked over to remove deeper roots form buttercup, wild geum and the dreaded bindweed and I have hoed and raked it level - slow work with 6 chooks diving on every forkful and getting their feet in front of the hoe!    They also helped me sow 9 rows of 8 broad beans but then got even more excited when OH started digging a new hole for my new pomegranate tree.   Hilarious but all planted now.

No sign of shoots from the garlic and shallots I planted recently but then we've had some frosty mornings and no rain.  I do have a few teeny, thin sweet pea shoots in the big pot on the terrace.    The comfrey looks OK so far but I've had to protect the rhubarb from being hen-pecked and we need more netting to keep the chooks of the broad beans.

Might try and get the last of the bulbs in tomorrow.

Hope you got your CH fixed.    Two of the larger GCs I use occasionally have become Point Vert in the last year or so.   Not convinced it's an improvement except that in one the staff are now more polite and friendly.

    Hi Everyone
My birthday yesterday and what a joy to forage for Salad leaves still in the garden. I don't remember end of November ever being as mild as this. Picked Dandelion/Chicory/Beetroot Leaves/Parsley and a few end of season tomatoes plus one cucumber I found hidden under a broccoli leaf!! All delicious with a couple of lobsters I bought at the Market yesterday morning and of course the obligatory Fizz -Well--It's only once a year so why not/!! On the way out to Market yesterday am in the dark saw a new hedgehog..so we now have 2!! Glad to hear that you have one GWRS they seem to be dwindling. Hens sound a challenge Obelixx but great fun.---Never tried Shallots from Seed, Bought 2 bags of Giselle to pop in this w/e. Weather willing, talking of which December Lunar Weather Forecast shows a very variable December with cold winds and snow on higher ground until 14th then milder and warmer until the end of the month, but definately wet.
Here is the Lunar Gardening Calender until 7th December.
2/3 Dec. Moon Descending in Gemini so Flower Days. This is a good time to plant bare root Roses and Shrubs. (I bought a lovely yellow climbing Rose for my birthday called Golden Gate -Nice sturdy little thing)
4/5th Dec - Moon Descending in Cancer so Leaf Days. If you are not in a frost pocket plant some Hedging. Start forcing Chicory if you haven't done so already.
6/7th Dec. Fruit Days Brush lichen and moss off fruit trees and plant new Fruit trees (bare root or potted. Pop in some Prunings from Raspberries/Gooseberries/Currants in vacant sheltered ground. They should root in 3 to 4mths so you could move them to where yu wish in April.
Beautiful Full Moon on Monday 30th Nov. Garden still looking good. Weeded plus tidied some flower beds. Broad Beans and Garlic looking good.
    Happy Gardening!

A fellow Sag @biofreak.  Belated happy birthday!   Mine was 23/11 and the under gardener is 7/12.

No gardening today cos Rasta doggy had a haircut and while that was happening I cooked a frittata for lunch to use up 8 eggs from the last 2 days.   Then I found they'd laid 6 more.  So much for the winter rest from laying!

This pm we took both dogs to the beach for a long  run while the sun was still shining?  Set to be wet and grey tomorrow which I hope will be good for the newly planted garlic, shallots and broad beans which are now all netted against busy chooks.

I still have some spring bulbs to plant  and I need to move a gooseberry bush and a couple of blackcurrants to the new fruit bed which will get loads of manure and a seep hose for next summer's heatwaves and droughts.

@biofreak have you seen my thread about UK seeds?  Need to get orders in quick.

    Hi Obelixx

All the best people are Sagittarius!!! Happy go lucky. Born Optimists and totally out of control!! Also can be deeply religious and good lawyers plus actors apparently!--Well I have total faith in my garden it is continueing to amaze me as are your hens (Eggs in Dec???). My OGM body is working well and now down to fortnightly visits to Lille after mini op to remove last lymph gland next week. So wonderful end to the year. My 7th Covid Test on Monday -Can anyone beat that?? --The garden beckons with planting of cuttings from Blackcurrants. Raspberries done --Why on earth I had been thinking of buying in new bushes I have no idea as existing ones may be 10yrs old but plants from cuttings always a success. OK they take a couple of years to get established, but tucked away in a corner they do no harm.
Took our dog on the beach Tuesday, beautiful day but cold wind. he is having his teeth cleaned today -not amused! Age comes to us all!
    Happy Gardening.

Merry early Xmas GWRS hope you did war dance round new shed and christened it. So so excited --Just had email from Bio Gardening Club with replacement Seed Catalogue I thought they had forgotten me!!!  About to cancel my annual sub, but all is forgiven!! Only problem I'm not techno savi and have to fill it out this year online -No idea how to do it. Will have to get O/H involved but he is at the vet with dog at the moment. Wet/Cold and miserable here. Just fed birds. Still have my 7 Sparrow babies now rowdy teenagers(Hope they don't interbreed Does anybody know??) and 11Blue Tits and 5 Great Tits. All champing at the bit for Fat Balls/Sunflower Seeds and Mixed Seed. Blackbirds will arrive for apple cores lunchtime. Decided not to garden to day . Will just download Dec. Gardeners World.(Still prefer paper, as screen makes my eyes ache) plus nothing nicer than turning pages.
    Stay Warm.

Good luck with testing and follow-up to ops @biofreak.  No tests here either as we go nowhere that needs one.

Our dogs are getting old too but no teeth cleaning as they get a Dentastix every day and it seems to do the trick.  Both have an arthritis med every morning, hidden in half a packet of cat food which they regard as a huge treat and is the only wet food they get.  Full of beans, the pair of them.

It was very wet and cold and blowy yesterday so no gardening done and we have calmer showers today but too many other jobs and errands  today so no gardening.  Still have some bulbs to plant.

We've managed two long walkies on beaches this week but won't go at the weekend as the locals will be out in force.   Going midweek is much calmer so we can let them off for a long run and a session of sniffing.

    Enjoy your shed @GWRS.
