My garden has completely got away from me this year so anything I do I should be proud of myself,  today I put annuals and dahlias in every available space but not many spaces left!
Ive gone off it really, doubt I’ll do much next year.
@Lyn , do you mean you've gone off your garden...? Gone off gardening...? Can this be so...? Need to find ways to get your mojo back... Ideas anyone...?

Weeded over half the vegetable garden and most of the flower garden. All said and done it filled up half the compost bin. We added a 5th one to our shopping list.
I should feel better about a job well done, except there is still so much to do. Bit of an empty victory, I'm afraid. The OH's verdict is, fill it with more seeds next year and they will block out the weeds. Technically, we have so many self seeding snap dragons, they could probably classify as a weed.
    Love antirrhinums also sounds exhausting

@Janie B and @robiwan. All of what you both said!
It’s  all too much for one person, especially an old one😀

I spent the afternoon out there today, just on one bed, usually flit from one place to another, but I’ve pulled out, cut down, planted up, you name it I’ve done it.
There’s plants there towering above me now, never were before,   I never put any feed on the soil, just home made compost.

If you saw how many plants Lyn grows you'd think she has a dozen helpers. But she does it all herself and makes a brilliant job despite her modesty  :)

Aw, @Lyn, I don't know much about you, or the size of your garden, or your age or level of fitness/health etc, but I do know that you have loved your garden, and that you have worked hard to make it what it is, and it makes me so sad to think that you feel you've had enough, especially that I (in "middle age") am just beginning to appreciate the benefits, both physical, but mostly mental, that gardening affords...

Can you maybe just concentrate on a small part? Get friends / family in to help? Enjoy a few small things...?

I do hope that you can continue to find pleasure in gardening; growing and producing something beautiful is such a tonic. Lots of love. Xx

I am fortunate in that OH cuts all the grass and the edges,  I couldn’t do that now, I will have to keep it tidy, I do love it, especially the seed sowing,  no one around to help, very remote here, but beautiful, I’m very lucky to be able to live here.
It’s  just grown away so much with all the rain we’ve had, I will lick it into shape😀

Found the silver lining. Any weeds miss are assisting by suppressing other weeds ;)
