@Busy-Lizzie you’ll be pleased to hear that the Suffolk county show is being held Wed/Thurs this week ... this guarantees rain 🌧 over East Anglia (as does almost any social event my brother has a hand in 😉).
True to form it’s raining today and the forecast is for it to continue for the duration of the show.
Shame it coincides with the three days OH has off (first for aaaaages) but hey ho ... the gardens need it. 😊
Let’s cross our fingers that the gusty winds that also often trouble the Suffolk Show stay away 🤞
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sounds as if little Lily has been keeping you straight regarding Ipad use, LilyP. It's amazing how quickly little ones learn how to use modern technology - and they have no fear, unlike some of us oldies... glad you had a good time with her.
Cuddles with your grandson, BL... nothing better! I'm off tomorrow to stay with our DIL and grandson in York tomorrow, while our son is in Sweden working on a university project. Grandson has just learnt to walk and is unstoppable... but one of his favourite new words is apparently "cuddle" so I'm looking forward to it!
Well done Wonks - recycling roses for confetti is a great idea!
Great holiday, Chicky - even if slightly more energetic than you expected...
I may be off the radar now for a couple of weeks or so. As soon as I get back from York (squeezing in singing in a concert on Sunday afternoon!) I'll be throwing more stuff in a suitcase - on Monday we're going to Tampere in Finland for 10 days, for a music festival...
See you later
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
You all sound SO energetic, I feel old and worn out Thanks for all the lovely wishes. We’ve just watched another episode of The Voice Australia. That’s enough activity for us, so we’re off to bed. I’ve got sore, aching T..ts.😡
Good morning all ☕️ wifi seems to be ok this morning 👍 blue skies and white fluffies so far but ‘Stav’ on R4 is just saying we have rain on the way ... it’ll probably arrive by the time tennis is over so I won’t be able to spend the afternoon in the garden ... but apparently it’s getting warmer at the end of the week ... 🌞

Morning all/afties Pat. Hope your 'area' feels better today. Those machines are definitely not designed by women, are they Forgot to look back further yesterday - lovely pix from your trip, chicky. Hope the glutes are ok Enjoy your trip[s] Liri. You'll need a rest when you get home. Been very chilly overnight here - I think there was a rather pretty sunset last night though. Rain for most of the rest of the week unfortunately, so not much can be done outside
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I did look in for a little while, Dove, because of the location, but I can't bear those two presenters. There was a little 'blink and you miss it' view of Sgor Gaoith's summit and a wee glimpse of the loch below, which was nice. I expect you're at your tennis - hope the weather's holding. Ferdiddling down here now.

Thanks for the weather report Dove. Sounds like the weather we've just had here. Heavy showers and strong winds yesterday. Much as I wanted rain for the cottage garden I would prefer it not to be on the Suffolk Show days.
I hope you have a lovely time in York, Liri and you enjoy seeing your grandson.
I enjoyed seeing my daughter yesterday. Baby grandson is plump and greedy! But when I arrived he looked at me in horror and cried! Later he smiled at me and let me give him a bottle. Daughter breast fed or 2 months but she was getting sore. The Doc said the baby is a glutton! We met her other 2 children, girl and boy, from school, had tea and played cards then I came home in time for supper.
We are going to a friend's birthday party this afternoon.
I must get on with the weeding.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Have a great time with your grandson Liri - he sounds fun 😀. And enjoy Finland too.
Work today, but a garden visit to a local NGS garden this evening to look forward to. Think we might get rained on 😳

Morning all.
I find those presenters irritating too.
