40+ pounds for cat deterrants? That is not cheap solution.  And there is no guarantee that they will work.

But then cat droppings problem is quite serious issue for health and hygiene of people with gardens.
I assure you there are many people who would be happy to spend a lot more than 40 quid for a proven cat deterrent.
Urgghhhh ... that's not fair is it? :(

I am certainly going to look into one of these as my neighbours cats...yes cats...approx 9 of them and more to come as she has got kittens in the house are using my new borders daily. I am having to clean them out morning and night and its beyond a joke. Now I grew up with family pets and in adulthood have had dogs and just recently rescued a kitten so certainly not anti cat. I can accept that cats need to go somewhere but its out of hand, also I need to find strong smelling plants to place near my back door to the garden to mask the smell of the neighbours house.

The RSPB sonic deterrents definitely work. No cat poo at all in my garden for one year. It takes a while to settle down, and get the triangulations right (I use two), but over a few months they will prove their worth. I use main electrics so no probs with batteries running out.

I've still not had a cat in my garden since starting this thread.. money well spent!

I've got wire around the top of my fence and 3 of these devices pointed towards any bit they can get in.
