I like Adam Frost, but being a Chelsea Gold Medal winner is no indication as to whether somebody makes a good or bad presenter.  There is at least one other presenter who is also a Chelsea winner, and I literally switch channel when they come on because I can't stand their patronising and superior manner.

@KT53 I may be being thick - alright I am being thick - but who is that then ? Initials will do to protect the guilty.......

As for palm oil - Dove is right.  Home cooks don't use it, industrial food processing dose.  It also goes into bio fuels, soaps, detergents...........   I saw a fleeting bit of Greg Wallace's programme on supermarkets and their secretes which was explaining about Iceland's drive to eliminate palm oil form their food by 2020
I admire Iceland's stance on removing palm oil from their own brand products, but they did shoot themselves in the food when it became public that they had apparently rebranded some food where they couldn't replace the palm oil for some reason.

That's fine Hostafan, I can do the same with this thread.  After all it's supposed to be a general thread about gardener's world not just an opportunity to constantly moan about dogs and presenters.

It’s a great idea - not without problems but hopefully will inspire others to follow suit.

I haven't moaned about any presenters, some have "moaned" about Adam's voice / accent but it wasn't me. Why not address them?

Moving on to the interesting bits.

I really liked the idea of that garden centre and their style of sales, but whoever it was said that it would make things more costly is probably right.  I wouldn't mind paying a bit more but as I have to watch the pennies it would be a concern.  I wonder how much extra they charge for plants etc.  Anyone live close and use the centre?

I think I read somewhere that Adam is filling in while Monty is away filming gardens in America for a series to be shown next year.  I expect there will come a time when he will want to hand over to someone else.  Anyone who trained with Geoff Hamilton is OK with me.

I bought Geoff's Gardeners World CD's and I really like them.  His style is a bit old fashioned but non the worse for that.

I am sure Adam is a good presenter, well qualified etc I just don’t like his voice but of course everyone is different and I will probably watch it with sound off and subtitles, sometimes the doggy shots are irritating but you know we all love a good moan and there is lots to enjoy. I personally would like a lot more advice on stuff to do now and a lot less “other people’s gardens” but that’s why I watch it on catch up.
I imagine it would be an impossible task to please all of us even some of the time.
