Hi I need a bit of help!
I ordered a minerva rose from bakker in spring and it came as bare root. It's just beginning to bloom but looks pink not purple. Have they sent me the wrong rose?

@Ffoxglove ...yes looks that way.. the foliage is wrong too... wait until the flower fully opens, take another photo and send it to them...   they might have sent you Double Delight, if so that's worth keeping.. but other roses they offer I'm not familiar with..

Need some help deciding what is best for this rose.
I have a Rood standard rose planted four years ago. To date it has tried to fall over every year mostly because of the wind/weather.
It was staked, then re-staked with a 45° angle second stake. Then two 45° angles. Then two metal stakes hammered in, tied to , and 45° cross braced. All over the four years.
Now have come home from a week away and found this.Would it be better to dig it up and move it to a sheltered part of the garden ( which would mean waiting until the end of the season as its surrounded by bedding ) or put it upright AGAIN and cut back the top losing this years flowers.
Am seriously thinking of moving it as I was at an agricultural show at the weekend and saw the roses Cants of Colchester had on display,  am taken with Super Trouper and Sparkle, fancy change of colour .🤔 Sorry this was such a long post.☺️

The supports I can see in the picture don’t look strong enough to support the top heavy weight of your lovely rose. I would buy a much stouter post ( a 2” x2” perhaps ) that is long enough to go the full length of the rose stem and a couple of feet into the ground as well if you can.
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

The second metal pole  runs through the centre of the bush ( and is pushed over) is 6 foot long, with 2 and a 1/2 foot in the ground. At the beginning of the season it poked out higher than the bush. It just put on so much growth this year and is heavily in bloom.

@purplerallim , I had much the same problem with a tall HT rose so ended up buying a very substantial black metal obelisk 6ft tall. It's much easier to keep the rose growth tied in to each of the four sides which also have horizontal rings round them.

🤔 That's a possibility @Lizzie27 , was it solid? If so the head is too big to get it over, even if I cut all the new growth the head is still two foot across . I still think it might be in the wrong place.
