Usually I don't need to see a doctor. ( Does this cut look like it's infected? Can you have a look in my ear? What are these spots? type of questions don't always need a doctor) I would prefer to see a nurse who could pass me on to a doctor if necessary. But I read the other day that we're short 40,000 nurses too. I hope it was a misprint
A resident up the road has been using a pressure washer for approximately four and a half hours . I thought these noisy hideous things were supposed to make cleaning jobs quicker. Seriously peed off now having a constant high pitched noise I can hear indoors as well as outside. They have hardly had a break since eleven thirty this morning they must be doing shifts...
KT53 I am not convinced that the new systems they have at surgeries are a change for the better either. I had not been to GP for years and found it totally confusing just telephoning for an appointment . Hope you got called back by now!
Finally got a call back at 3:30, what a waste of a day. As it turns out I could have gone out as I was called on my mobile. Problem is I simply don't trust the surgery to get it right. On the previous two occasions when I have told them to call on my mobile, they have called the landline. Fortunately I have been in the house on both occasions, but that is very rare in the summer months.
We live 2 minutes' walk from our GP practice, so if we want an appointment we go round there, it's much less trouble than hanging on the phone listening to ghastly "music" for half an hour. Surely it's not beyond the expertise of IT designers to finish a menu with "To turn off the music, press X".
Effin' neighbours are getting on my nerves. The constant humming from their hot tub is annoying but I was out watering the plants earlier while they were using it and a fine spray of chlorinated, fat-people-soup water was being blown over the fence and all over my plants and veg beds. I'm sure it's not enough chlorine to really harm the plants and we've survived spray drift from their Jeyes Fluid and paint spatters from when they did the fence but it still bugs me.Â
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
