I had my tesco delivery this morning, (don’t hold that against me) but the dear little chap who delivers to me is about 24, he said last night his mate was stabbed while doing his deliveries in a village in Devon, we got talking about how horrible some boys can be, I told him about the kids in the school my step daughter works at, then I asked him if he had any children,
he said he and his OH  have decided not to have children, said there are enough people in the world already without adding more, he said if they decided at a later date, they would adopt, he said it didn’t make any difference to them that is wouldn’t biologically be theirs,  there are plenty of children already born that need a home.

what a star! And so wise for one so young.

I know it's not a particularly fashionable view, but i think it's so sad that so many children who could be part of a loving family are in care while couples are spending fortunes on IVF.
If you need a child, there are plenty of children who need a parent. R

I recently dismantled a holey pot of herbs that i got in the dead trolley for a fiver. The pot was worth at least four times that.
There were a few varieties of mint so i rescued them and put them in pots the other day.
One particular specimen was in a pot of about 5" diameter . A fox managed to sh*t in the pot, placing it neatly without even touching the sides.
Wandering down the garden, in line with the hose that i hadn't put away, my non-gardening shoe chanced upon another sh*t  which, soft and pliable, was neatly positioned on top of the hose.
