Shame the Beeb can't be consistent in their treatment of people with dubious views about race and stop inviting Farage onto Question Time...

I favour the feeling that Danny Baker was probably just stupid, on this occasion, rather than racist.
I think that’s right ... I don’t think for one minute that he is racist ‘in his bones’ ... but at times he can behave stupidly and arrogantly and sometimes his desire to be ‘edgy’ and push boundaries has lead him to make wrong decisions ... he may just see himself as some sort of ‘shock jock’ but his is a job with huge responsibilities and if he doesn’t realise that by now there is something seriously wrong.
He gave the BBC no choice.

I definitely agree that Danny Baker is stupid.  He's now tried to claim that he heard a royal baby had been born but had no idea who the parents were!  Never has the expression "When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging" been more appropriate.
He's a broadcaster who has an opinion on everything yet wasn't aware of something which has been splashed ad nauseam on every radio, TV and press outlet for the last umpteen weeks?  Pull the other one.

I hate the DVLA. They've sent me a refund cheque for the remaining tax on the car I sold. After of course stealing half a month's worth of tax because I sold it in the middle of the month and then stealing half a month's tax from the new owner as well to tax it for the time he didn't own it when it was already taxed. Now I'm stuck with a cheque that I can't pay in anywhere because who uses cheques these days? I now have to apply to my bank for a paying in book just to pay in one cheque. :|

Every time I tax a car on line now I make sure to write in the feedback section regarding the theft of peoples' money. I'm sure they ignore it but it makes me feel better. Bunch of Danny Bakers the lot of them.

Don’t they have bank slips on the counter anymore, I get paid always in Cheques, I download a form from the bank website and post it.

Many bank branches also have the facility to pay in cheques through machines.  No paying in slip, just your bank card and the cheque.  Works OK for me, but it is obviously dependant on having a branch of your own bank somewhere close by which my not be the case in more rural areas.

There's no banks around here anymore. I use First Direct so at least I can do bank stuff at the Post Office. Apart from cheques of course...
