This is my first ever jam jar posy. Rose's Blue for you and Rood ,sweetpeas oldfashioned/horizon, poppies and Sorbaria Sorbifolia seeding flowers ( love the fluffy look when the flowers die)

Very nice @purplerallim - and welcome to the posy group!

Sorry these aren't in jam jars. I posted them in a separate thread but apparently this is the place for all flower arrangement pics.

The second has grasses from my hay meadow. I love wandering around until I'm sure I've got a stem of each kind of grass - they look lovely on their own in a vase, but I think the pink from the roses, pinks and knautia brings out the redness in some of the grass stems. Not sure my photography skills are up to showing that properly though!

They’re absolutely gorgeous, @Adstid. I love picking grasses as well.
  • Not quite a jamjar but my first proper attempt at some flowers arranging in a vase.  Love using the grass and fennel as a back drop.
Excuse the masking tape, I've been experimenting with grids to help the flowers stand up better.
I should have added more cornflowers x

Love the fennel, AlliumPurpleSensation. I use clear tape to make a grid sometimes. Took my godmother by surprise, though: put some flowers in the guest bedroom for her, when she tried to top up the water it went all over the table! Love those rich reds, pitter-patter.
