When Monty goes of on his trips abroad it of no real interest to me ...
I don't think it's compulsory to watch anything in which you have no interest.   :/

The joys of the FF button is that we can miss the bits we don't want to see.
I never watch it "live" any more.

Me neither always record both GW & Beechgrove. You can always go back on something you are interested in too

Funnily enough I record GW so I can FF and Beechgrove so I don't miss anything.

  • I do enjoy watching GW, I find it a completely relaxing end to the week and I find Monty helpful informative and although the programme isn't "fast" and "Upbeat", to me he presents gardening in a more relaxed and informal manner, which is how I like to treat my gardening, (Beechgrove is also of the same ilk).
I am not a huge fan of Alan Titchmarsh or any makeover gardens nor do I like what he represents, however I realize for some people who don't have the time to tweak and snip as I do now,  leading busy lives and with gardening literally at the bottom of the heap of jobs to attend to then makeovers are probably the answer for them.

AT was very good when he presented GW, despite taking it on at short notice after the untimely death of GH.   AT's How to Be a Gardener series was excellent.   GW with Monty is glass of wine and snooze time on the rare occasions I watch it live on a Friday.
