Nor the best/minimum/maximum size for a pot.  Oh well.

Watched it at last. Enjoyed. ‘That’ Fuchsia was indeed fabulous.
I too wonder how the Paradise Garden will turn out, (Who said bus stop?! Brilliant 😅), and what he will put in to complement the roses.

Sorry, forgot to bookmark this thread - otherwise I'd have already thanked @Busy-Lizzie for her potential invitation to say hello, and @Dovefromabove for that great article about the Bloom family.  Norfolk is a long way away... but it'll happen one day!   :)

Returning to GW, that music always brings a smile to my face, too.  And I'd watch Carol Klein enthusing about any plant, whether or not I wanted to grow it.  I hope she's as happy a woman as she appears.   :D

I bought some plants from Carol Klein many years ago when she still had her nursery & was at one of the RHS early shows in London. She came across exactly as you see her on TV, gave us loads of free advice about the plants best place to put them, how to look after them etc. Lovely lady. :)

I agree, l bought plants from her at Malvern years ago, and she was the same. Although her stand was busy, she was only too happy to give advice. I saw her a couple of years ago at Gardeners' World Live where she was filming. She was chatting to one of the exhibitors (off camera), and they were getting on like a house on fire. Like all of us, l am sure she has her off days, but l think what you see is what you get with her.

We met Carol several years running at Hampton Court, and even in the second year, she remembered us from the previous year, even asking after the plants we'd bought from her.
I was amazed she'd remember which we'd bought.

  • I haven't always watched GW but this one started off really interesting for me, the winter garden was particularly stunning.

I got a reply from Monty on twitter, the answer is apparently 'small!'

So not Rambling Rector then? 😉
