I know but the Beeb seems to think we have to have all sorts now so there's an old white man and an old white woman then a younger white male in a wheelchair and a black woman for the city gardeners and a younger female to show the youf that it's cool to get mucky.  Cynical?  Moi?

Yes half the amount of presenters. Get rid of the annoying woman and guy in the wheelchair both of which talk too fast for us hard of hearing breezing past plants without putting names on most. Give us more growers those that are producing what will be available in GC this season.

I agree that there seems to be diversity for its own sake.  I want effective presenters and don't care about their ethnicity, physical situation etc.  It's a couple of series back, but when a presenter shoves plants into tubs and doesn't any additional compost they lose all credibility in my mind.

I’d like to see more specific garden advice- giving good planting options for various soil types, not just here I’m planting this shrub and it looks like this. Fine if you have similar soil, but how about adding a few choices for various soil types to give similar effect. I like the program a lot, but sometimes I get fed up of the constant interruptions of being taken to another garden to look at plant collections. Of course I find it interesting but feel some episodes have way too much of it.. but I prefer the practical side of gardening I guess. That’s why I love Carol K as she gets the balance just right I think. Can’t please everyone all the time though obviously!! 😬

I have a feeling we shall all be saying the same things again after watching the first program!

.... it use to work perfectly well before with just a couple of presenters and visits to other gardens private or public plus seed / plant growers, etc etc
I think I agree.  More is not necessarily better.  BUT, whatever ...economies they make, they must keep Carol's offerings.

I wish they would give more practical tips and agree with Flinster on the way they say look I'm planting this plate dig a hole and put it in. I've learn't much more you the people on here than from the GW TV. If they were to go a little more into detail it would be a help not all of us understand about soil, soil Technics and propagating. Why do we need to see Monty wheeling his wheel barrow around. When Monty goes of on his trips abroad it of no real interest to me as I cant grow most if not all of the plants he talks about. I like GW but enjoy Beachgrove. Carol K is so enthusiastic about plant and in come through, we need more of her and people like her.

I’m surprised there are no decent YouTube channels on gardening given how varied people’s tastes are it would seem obvious to do one.
