It's just after 3:30am GMT. I actually had some sleep. Just wishing I could get through the night,
Not raining here at the moment.

I hate it when the clocks go back. Another hour to wait until morning.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Morning @rowlandscastle444, no rain here either just a lovely full moon - perhaps the sky has run out of rain at last (some hopes). For the past 2 hours I have been watching the news about Gaza, absolutely horrific. Sometimes I am glad that my natural life is heading towards its end, I fear for what this world will be like in the future for my g/kids and g.g child (and future ones to come) unless something magical happens.
But enough of these morbid thoughts. I have to report that my intended experiment to change my sleeping habits has not been a success so far. Every month or so I seem to suffer from a bout of 'restless legs' for a few days and this has been one of those weeks, so no point in trying to reorganise my sleep as sleep is not available at these times.
Luckily for some reason these leg twitches seem to stop around 6.30 in the morning and I can thankfully slip back under the duvet for a couple of restful hours. Have been having this problem for years so well used to dealing with it, but very frustrating never the less.
A question for you all - how many of you like GMT as against BST? I seem to be in the minority because my body clock likes GMT and I seem to sleep better too. May be this is due to my lifelong involvement in the horse 'industry' with a feed time regime of 6 (morning) 12 (noon) 6 (teatime) and 12 (midnight) 24/7 year in and year out come rain or shine. Horses to school/exercise owners to be greeted and chatted to, pupils and students to be trained for their exams, living in students to be catered for (they eat a lot!), housework to be done, and none of this is bothered by a change in winter or summer time. So how does the change effect you?
Hope those of you awake earlier have managed to back to sleep by now. Think I might try again myself.
  • Hi @AnnaB
Yes, the war in Gaza and Israel is so sad and unnecessary. The same applies to Ukraine. Thousands of needless deaths and unimaginable suffering. It makes the heart cry.

I would keep to GMT too. It really depends where you live. Not all on this continent benefit equally by the change.

I would much rather keep Summer Time. I hate the dark evenings. The majority of the French voted for Summer Time and it was going to be kept. Then Covid happened and the plans got pushed aside. I don't think some other EU countries wanted France to change. The EDF say Summer Time uses less electricity.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
