Are you awake?

@rowlandscastle444, I’d still complain to your consultant about that recent shambles. You aren’t getting enough sleep as it is, and having to get up at silly o’clock to waste your entire day waiting around if so wrong. Is there a voluntary help scheme near you? Or one of those community transport schemes with a mini bus?
Hate to say it, but I’ve slept well the last couple of nights. I think shaking up the mattress topper has helped a bit, and maybe the G and T last thing!
  • There's nothing wrong with saying you've slept better. Do say, because it's a good thing.
I had the alarm set for 6:30am today. Not that I needed it, being awake before 4:30am.
Had to put items out for bulky waste collection by 7am. An old table from the shed, a lawn mower, and a small freezer. I managed to walk the latter down the drive. It took a while, but it's now gone. I'm feeling my age when these things need doing.
I DID complain to my consultant, and I'm told they will rearrange the appointment. Mmm mmm!!🤔
I used to be up early to commute to London, but 12 years on, it's not quite so easy.
A nice idea about the G&T. I wonder if you can get them on prescription?! 😁

Rowland is right. It's good to hear that occasionally there are good night's. Some hope for us all.

Third night sleeping on the sofa for me. Normally I get a really good sleep down here but not tonight for some reason.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

It's about 4am, and I'm still struggling to sleep. I've never found sleeping on the sofa satisfactory, @wild edges .
I'd rather sleep on the floor!! Sorry that both you and @coccinella are awake at these times. One should really be asleep!

At this time, there is rarely anything decent on the TV to help you doze, except perhaps on catch up.

It's a good rule to work to that you should never buy a sofa that's less comfy than your bed.

Maybe it would be easier just to apologise @wild edges
    In London. Keen but lazy.

My place in bed was taken by another man and that little man was coughing and snotting all over the place so I'm happy to camp out on the sofa where the only snot I get exposed to is the dog shoving a wet nose in my ear at 3am.
