I hope and pray that everyone is safe in this weather. It sounds so nasty out there. I'm imagining that many will find damage to buildings, gardens, and more, when they are able to survey the results of this storm.
Not waking me up, but stopped me going to sleep till 1.30am. It was blowing a gale with rain hammering the window. Sleep has been ok over Christmas, maybe because of the few drinks I have had 🥂😉 Happy New Year to all you insomniacs here, may your sleep be plentiful. 😁
Me too. Just done a logic puzzle, but my internet is slow tonight. Hope you are settling into your new home, and finding it better than the last one? Very envious of you being able to walk to a nice garden centre.
Hi @Ergates This place certainly has it's advantages over the last one.
New curtain rails arrived by post in 3m long tubes on Wednesday. I now have to find someone to put them up. I'm no longer safe up a ladder with a power drill.
hope you don’t have to wait too long to get the poles put up. Lying here trying to put off a trip to the loo! No good, I’ll have to brave the cold! Maybe see if any stars visible while I’m up, 4C so the cloud may have gone.
It's 6°C here in the SE, so a touch warmer. But that's the temperature outside. Here inside it's a few degrees warmer. The bathroom has underfloor heating too, although I've no idea why. The floor never feels that warm. It does help to air washing overnight though. However, my wife keeps forgetting that there's a clothes horse in there sometimes. It makes for interesting "Oh's" in the night!!😁
No stars visible, the street lights had already come on. We usually keep the bedroom temperature at 16C, any warmer results in disturbed sleep. No hazards or obstructions in the bathroom, but OH does like to sleep on the side of the bed by the window. Unfortunately this is on the other side of the room from the bathroom, and he is more often up in the night than I am. He managed to kick something as he negotiated his way to the loo last night. Probably the scales, I’ll have to shove them under the bed, it’s not like we use them very often. Too scary!

The weather since we moved in has been wet or windy or both. I guess that's British winters for you.🙄
Doesn't make for restful nights. Or days!

Not safe up a ladder WITHOUT a power drill.

"Ghosties and ghoulies and long-legged beasties and things that go bump in the night!"
Well, wife goes bump, 🤣🤣
Especially when the duvet cover is airing.
