Been busy again today, suprised I could walk after yesterday.  I've put a bag of manure on the new border and a bit of FBB.  Bought a couple of Ligustrum Sinense Sunshine from Ashwoods and planted those along with 3  Festuca Elijah Blue, 3 penstemmon and 3 shrubby bindweed that I had in the coldframe.  Also planted Magnolia Susan and Magnolia Soulangea.  Painted the side of the woodshed ready for the trellis.  The new border is looking quite good now.

    Happy Anniversary GD.
Removed dead branches from an old apple tree (well, I held the ladder) and pulled up dozens of Daffodils (and transferred to a pot to die back) from a small shady border so I have a patch to plant-up with some new goodies. I have ferns, foxgloves and a few random bits in already so will have to look for something else - maybe more foxgloves?maybe Hostas (but slugs)?? I also did some patio pots of geraniums and a couple of pots for gifts (white geraniums and trailing pansies).

    Happy Anniversary GD.

Got most of my early sown cucumber plants in stringed up to the roof line and loads of small cucumbers coming through already .
8 x Tomatoes all planted up and taking off nicely in the greenhouse. 3 mini bell sweet pepper plants planted up also. 6 Bell Peppers to go in over the next week or so just waiting for new planters to arrive.
5 courgette plants now hardened off and put outside today for the summer.
Second sowing of courgette and cucumber quietly growing away ready to go into the vacant space rear right of the greenhouse  a bit later in the season to extend the availability of produce.

Fitted 3 new auto window openers so now all 4 roof windows open without me dashing back from work to stop everything frying in the heat

The shelving in the middle will be coming out for the summer once I've planted out the bedding plants standing on it so more room for other stuff.

Looking at this lot who would believe its just me the misses and the cat now the kids have all flown the roost.
I give 90% of what I grow away to my kids and neighbours but, I like most of you I believe just enjoy the growing and the giving just adds to that pleasure.

Next job! clean the glass lol.. looking at this picture it all needs a good wash down.

The weathers just great today enjoy the rest of the weekend guys.

Just pottered about, swept the paving, watered some bedding plants (bacopa in flower already, need to start hardening off I think). OH's potatoes are up so had to support netting on plant pots. Planted 2 new Hart's Horn ferns in my Boggy Bed. Keep looking at the asparagus bed but still no sign of any spears, watered it well and the poorly rose.
Sat in the shade of the courtyard with a cuppa - beautifully quiet, all the neighbours must be away. Happy Anniversary GD.

Loads done yesterday sawing pampus grass up and a big wasp kept looking for a home in there - no you don't :(  :# had that last year and got stung bad when trying to get rid of the grass, lots of pruning done ivy and branches garden bin full so went to tip today, yesterday sawing wood up lots of clearing of bottom end of garden - doing lots of bits also different things than was going to as dad needed them done

Had a really good bonfire last night in garden testing small metal fire bin with big one quite a lot burnt till dark - saw a bat flying about and also a hedgepig maybe one of dovefromaboves ones - did not come into garden just walking past under train line fence to another garden don't think liked the fire

Went to plot today strimming and planting out potatoes and feeding birds, some of my seeds coming up which is good - still get so excited when they do germinate still to sow more seeds yet - so more excitement yet  - last big fence panel went up on left side of garden just to fill the small gaps that side

Here is a helpful video for when to put manure down and crop rotation https://www.gardenersworld.com/how-to/grow-plants/how-to-practise-crop-rotation/

Reading back everyone has been so busy and done so much.

We spent a few hours at allotment this morning, cut down green manure will dig it in along with the shredded paper tomorrow, strimed all around the plot, removed cloche's from onions now they are well established and watered all round, did a bit more sorting out of sheds and poly tunnel, generally trying to catch up for the lost time this week (not that you ever truly do).

Got to warm for wife so we came home just before midday but it was nice to get out in the sun and have some fresh air.

Had a walk along the sea front later this afternoon in a nice sea breeze, looking around there are going to be some very sore people tonight and tomorrow 🥵🥵

Hello , I too spent morning at allotment with o/h planting up beds with broccoli 🥦  two types , lettuce and sewed carrot , beetroot and parsley seed on tapes
Noticed asparagus is just popping up
Then this afternoon , after listening to football , planted up 3 potatoes 🥔 sacks and watered pots & g/h
