I'ts been chucking it down here also for the past 2 or 3 days but did manage to get out and look a my Camellias but it's raining again all be it not as heavy.
Yes I planted up about half of my Brassicas (the rest are still a bit small) the soil was perfect at last. Just managed to mulch the strawberry bed before the rain came again.
I potted on cabbage, cauliflower and some lettuce now my 2x 5 tier little gh's bit full will by another gh not so tall just wider - as the other one I had broke - sowing seed ok when potting on run out of room, went to tip the other day with the last big bit of the pampus grass
Built myself a new custom potting bench that fits neatly in the end of the poly tunnel and is at a height I can stand and not have to bend all the time, just need to fit some rails the back board and two side to stop the compost falling off will do that tomorrow.
In the poly tunnel transplanted Lettuce "Outredgeous" into a troughs watered and fed other plants harvested pea's. In the garden between showers more hoeing and weeding, lightly dug over a bed added some chicken pellets will sow french beans there tomorrow.

I have had a lazy day here, not much gardening done as it was our Liberation Day (holiday). However I enjoyed a visit from our local garden society chief photographer who also share an enthusiasm for our garden. Gave her some plants, arranged for some to be sold for the charity and also gave her a guided tour and took many photographs. We saw our first Common Blue and Small Copper butterflies. So you all make me feel a tad guilty with your gardening achievements, but it was nice to show the garden off too.
I picked stacks of radish and made galllons of radish top soup for the freezer and pickled the roots, then picked salad leaves for dinner... not sure that is gardening, but at least I got out for 5 minutes between the rain! So happy to have some decent rain! 😀
Hooray, the rain has stopped (what's the betting that l'm praying for rain in a few week's time ?). Potted up 8 pelargoniums that will be part of the greenhouse display, also planted up hanging basket with 2 plants of "Triobelles". Only need 2 plants, and they fill the basket. Potted on 2 purple osteospermum that came from cuttings (just as well, the original plant didn't survive the winter). Still have some shrubby salvias to plant up, but it's getting very warm so time for a tea break.
