Cut leaves from courgettes that had gone bad, and took off some male flowers covered in black fly. Weeded, dead headed beds. Found a straight sucker on the twisted hazel so off that came ( noticed the cob nuts were getting big) Found lots of prickly little plants starting to grow, I think the birds are spreading the blackberry in their droppings. Cut back a bush that had finished flowering. My bin was emptied Friday, already 3/4 full.🙄

Don't think I'll grow agastache again.  Just grabbed hold of one and it turned out to be a nettle.  Not the first time I've got them mixed up.

Woke up bright and early to a very poorly hip, hobbled down the garden and managed to plant a silver birch betula jacqumontii. Watered the compost heaps as they are very dry. Hobbled back in. We go down to Devon on Thursday (is the weather any good @Hostafan1) so not looking forward to the long drive if my hip continues like this.

    I feel your pain @Wilderbeast
Been out dead heading the petunia, seeding a tray of foxgloves, watering.
Then realised I needed the grit in the garage to top off the seed tray. Got half way round the house and tripped over the bag ( well it was so heavy it was dragged not lifted) brused all down my left side now, hubby will tell me off when he gets home.🙄

Sounds very painful @purplerallim, hope your hubby brings tea and cake after he's finished telling you off, and that the bruises fade quickly .
I have been copying Monty and shoehorning two Guara "The Bride" into spaces where they will just about fit. OH wants to clean the paving, so l thought l would do some more planting to get rid of some pots.
It's a lovely day here, l plan to see what else l can plant out after lunch.

Have a lovely holiday Wilderbeast, it's beautiful here at the mo! Looks like it might break on Saturday but then back to sunshine. All the best with your long drive
