I did today, what I planned to do yesterday. It was a bit grim on Monday so I didn't venture outside. Old compost heap dismantled and the ground turned over ready for raspberries.

Never get much of a window in the Autumn to prep ground here, so hoping very well rotted horse poop and plenty of rotavating now will be good enough for new raspberry canes, I usually get away with it when putting in hedging.

Amazing how just a few hours out there this afternoon changed my mood after a weekend of reading worrying and frightening news about our current situation.

It's sunny here but a bit chilly.  Managed to get a fair bit done, planted a rambling rose, a camellia and a hardy geranium then deadheaded the early daffs.

Received over 200kg of material to the kerbside at 9am, had to haul it into the garden before starting remote work!

400L of woodchip onto two of my beds, and looks so much better now.

Moved a cypress gold crest into my water/trees bed.

Composted some random daffodil bulbs, and hop vine.

Moved tyres into stacks in the children’s garden.  Cleaned up the kids bench.

Played in the garden with my youngest.

Put up the last fence panel broken by the winter winds. ( delivered at last) Lots of watering to do now in conservatory (temporary greenhouse) Have used nearly all my medium sized pots potting on, usually don't have quite so many growing.
  • I sowed yet more cucumber, courgette, beetroot and radish seeds this morning.  We won't stave although we may get fed up eating all these vegetables.

Have been out having a general tidy up, we have many projects on the go and stuff scattered all over.

My love affair with compost continues have just turned a forth pallet bay mixing in grass so that should be steaming in a few days.

First row of radish and Rocket are emerging

No gardening this morning, made cheese scones instead, as cheese was coming to its end date ( I try not to waste things)😁
