Bleedin' hoover vacuum cleaner broke again today. This time the plug caught fire. I've no idea what my missus is doing to it but I've fitted a more durable plug with a tighter cord clamp and more slack in the connections just in case. I don't think it can cope with the rigours of nesting behaviour :#

Get her a rechargeable cordless. She will love you for it.

She uses my Makita 18v workshop hoover vacuum cleaner for the stairs and things but it's a bit gutless to deal with dog hair on carpet.

I was under the impression the expression is 'arse over appetite'. That's possibly a Cornish variation on the theme.

I had to get both rear springs replaced on my car last MOT. VERY expensive. Possibly as much to do with our private track as the local roads though.
More than likely Cornish,  they wouldn’t be heard saying rude words, like This, That and the Third Thing, god forbid they should mention ‘the other’ 😀

Until you get a cordless, it might be worth checking the filters.

Out painting fences today and got fed up of neighbours dog barking and howling constantly for hours.  Went round and rang the bell a couple of times but no one answered.  Carried on painting and saw the daughter walking down the drive I politely asked her if she could do something about the dog barking.  Her comment was, Nothing to do with me, not interested, can't do anything about it, and she walked off.  Considering she was the only one in at the time I can't quite understand her reply to my request.

I believe you can report dog owners for that type of nuisance these days, not sure if it's the local council or the RSPCA?  I would drop a polite note in their letterbox saying that if they don't take steps to keep their dog quiet, that is what you intend to do.

Environmental health deal with noise pollution problems. The RSPCA just take your number and pass it onto their marketing team who pester you with phonecalls asking for money until you threaten them with legal action if they don't stop.

How can you give money to a charity without ending up in a mugs list?

Send them a cheque and dont give them your address. That’s what I do.
