From the little I've read about the EU and scrapping the clock change, I thought it was going to be up to individual countries to implement the new system, or not, as they chose.  If that is the situation it could be entertaining trying to work out the time as you drove from country to country.
I read that each country will have to stick to either "normal" time or "daylight saving time" but I might have got it wrong.

When I worked full time I often said I and my colleagues needed a wife.   Then I had a "light bub" moment.  I worked as many hours as OH in the same company and he spent as much time in the home as I did so he could share the chores.  I cooked - he washed up.  I washed - he ironed.  I dusted - he vacced.

When I became a housewife after our move to Belgium I did most of the housework, cut the grass,  did DIY but he kept ironing (useful activity done while watching sport on TV) and helped with any heavy lifting.  Now we are retired he loads the dishwasher, cuts the grass, helps with cleaning (his bloody Dyson after all) and still does the heavy lifting and digging.
The missus and I tend to share the work with the exception that the garden is really mine, as although she likes the garden, she's never had any great desire in working out there.  That's not meant in a nasty way as she loves to come out to garden centres and suggest plants etc.  The only thing I don't do is the ironing.  It takes me an hour to get a T shirt crease free!

@KT53 much the same here. Hubby does the cleaning and cooking. I wash the laundry, but he irons it ( even his face flannel and socks )
He sometimes helps in the garden but he hates the cold even more than I do,and he's not keen on actually getting dirty. He'll happily spend hours on his knees removing every tiny weed from gravel paths. I think it suits his OCD.

Where the sun is in the sky at noon means nothing to me, nor does it affect me in any way. Having to switch the lights on an earlier costs me money and makes me miserable.

Seems a good deal for both of KT.

I seem to remember it was Macron pushing for ending clock changes.  Now that we rely on satnav so much maybe the time changes will be picked up by the car's computer and/or navigation systems.  won't bother me.  Never did bother to change watch or car clock for trips to the UK.

Other than it being odd to have the sun at its zenith at 2pm, I like the summer time clock better than the winter time.

Today I saw a comma and a Peacock butterfly. I also potted up a load of hellebore seedlings I found against a wall. No idea how they got there, ants I suppose.
