Apologies to those who aren't cheered up by this but more than 2.5 million have signed the petition to revoke article 50. I've included a link.... just in case https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/241584
That's only 15 million less than voted to leave in the referendum, and I suspect the vast majority are those who voted to stay in the first place.  To be honest, I think that simply getting a proper decision made, irrespective of the outcome, is all most people want now.  Well that, and a set of politicians who are actually capable of making a decision.

Dahlias!   Bought a bunch of them in bags form a garden shop last spring and potted them.  Took ages for them to pop and get big enough to plant out.  Eventually got some good blooms.

Checked today and 2/3rds of the little darlings have shoots!   Never thought I'd get excited about dahlias but I'm chuffed to bits.

My magnolia stellata is looking magnificent, you can see it in the front garden as you come along the lane, it really stands out.

Spotted the fat bullets of Solomon's Seal starting to poke through the soil today :)

Saw the first swallow of the year today. Very early compared to the last 2 years so I'm not sure if it's good or not but it's always nice to see them back. The hedges were full of chiffchaffs too.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
