I wonder if there's a bird version of Tripadvisor.  "Tight git had stopped putting seed out but has now started again.  Get round there and fill your boots before they stop again"

So that's where all my goldies have gone @wild edges
Or maybe they just fancied a change of scenery  :)
I'm sure there is one @KT53. Those f***in' feral pigeons were hanging around when I came home earlier. Those nerf guns are really effective.... ;)

Reason to smile today - when I was out for a walk, the rooks and jackdaws were flitting around as usual, when  a big craw flew down from a rowan in front of me, with a little bunch of berries in his beak, and sat on the grass nearby having a snack.  :)

One of our US nephews and his lovely wife, and their two children whom we've never met, have just said they hope to pay us a visit next summer.  We've been inviting them for a long time, but they wanted to wait until the children were old enough to reap the most benefit from it.

That sounds good @josusa47 . My other main hobby, apart from gardening is genealogy. Last night I found some US cousins (rather remote but still related) on Ancestry which I didn't know existed - the family tree is growing!

I just ordered more bird food to placate the goldfinches. Gardener's World discount plus loyalty points and the seed was on sale with free delivery so I saved a load of cash. I ordered a couple of bags of swan and duck food as well to keep the kids (and the ducks) happy over the winter.

Do your kids like swan food @wild edges? Mine prefer toast....

Well they're more ugly ducklings than swans if I'm honest :#

I'm putting this here although it could just as easily fitted 'curmudgeon'.  Latest GW just arrived and again in paper envelope (tick).  One end of envelope is completely open so I could very easily have just received an empty envelope (bad).  Fortunately, the magazine is still in there but most of the advertising junk has fallen out (big tick).

It wasn't just mine then. Royal Mail thoughtfully put all the junk mail back in and wrapped it in a plastic bag twice the size of the one than it used to come in. So 2 months of paper envelopes and no plastic saved so far. Full marks for effort though.
