I've thought of a much better day for festivities that Christmas,Easter ,Halloween, solstice etc. All old🎩 I think we should celebrate clocks going forward Sunday. I can't wait!
My RTBC is that, because I'm really not a morning person, it doesn't bother me that it's dark until 8.15 at present. (County Clare is a long way west...) And it's great that there's still light in the sky at 5.15pm.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I'm cheerful because I've just rescued a starling from a fat ball feeder. We came home to find it face down inside the feeder. He'd been struggling so his wings were sticking out of the side holes and he was totally wedged in.
I had to gently turn it upside down and coax his wings back inside the holes then persuade him to kinda drop out the bottom. Ungrateful little tike pooed on my glove but he eventually dropped out and flew off.
I have a warm fuzzy , I've saved a life, feeling now.
Oh, and I've just picked up 7 mangoes in Waitrose for 42p

Pleased because I’ve had the cat castrated and it only cost £46.00 that was for a pre-op check and a packet of gastro friendly food for after. I expected a lot more than that. They were of course, pushing for micro chips and vaccinations.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
That sounds good @Lyn. We have micro-chips and vaccinations for both the cats and both dogs so they can have a pet passport - obligatory when crossing frontiers and a good precaution for us cos the local farm cats get no jabs and there are itinerant wild things such as foxes, badgers, coypu and so on that can also share bugs. Must make an appointment for annual feline checks and jabs.

My RTBC today is that I had a lovely back, neck and shoulder massage this morning - worth every penny. I was a bit overdue for this one as I missed the December one and I do notice the difference.
