    Fantastic news @Liriodendron. I'll echo B3's sentiments x   :)
I went out because the weather isn't conducive to any outdoor activity unless you're a masochist. Needed a few things anyway, but like you @B3, a small plant found it's way into the basket. A lovely dianthus for 2 quid. I'm going to get a little collection of those for my shelf, to take over from the early bulbs.
Had to go and get stuff at B&Q and after talk about Verb. rigida yesterday, I got one of those. Plenty of cutting material on it too  ;)

@Liriodendron, it will be great to be on flat/flatter ground for the house and garden.
Hope all goes well for you.

Love little dianthus but only buy the ones with perfume.  Congrats @Liriodendron.  Hope you've found some good builders.

This morning we took all my treasures out of the party barn where they've been hiding from heatwaves and put them along its west facing wall so they can enjoy afternoon sun and any prevailing rain that happens by.   One or two plants are struggling but most are looking remarkably healthy and some even needed potting on.

This seems a very bonny one @Obelixx. Dark pink, and slightly paler lacing, with a nice scent. It has loads of buds and some flowers on it. Bargain.  I found a nursery that specialises in them too. There goes the savings.... ;)
That's really good that you're intervention has worked well with the plants  :)

Reason to be cheerful No 2 - the weather seems to have dried up a bit, for now,  so I might go out and get some things put back in the border before they blow away....

After all the rain we've had I went into the garden, and it is so easy to get the weeds out. :)  I suppose I could add in the curmudgeon thread that there are loads of 'em because of the wet and warm weather.

    Exciting news, @Liriodendron
Looking forward to hearing all about it.

My reason(s) to be cheerful today are that Bow (older daughter) is home after 3 or so weeks away at various things. And that we went to a really good Prom this evening, with a great atmosphere.

Gung ho hacking at (pruning) my lavender and noticed they were having a second flush. Went more carefully. I didn't realise they could do that!
    In London. Keen but lazy.
