After 28 hours of heavy rain without a break, it has finally abated and I can get planting my spring bulbs, yay!

Good for you @Nollie. We're predicted rain here tomorrow and I still haven't planted some left over tulips from last year in the school garden I look after.

Been far too wet to plant bulbs here - positively squelchy which is bizarre after months of drought and rock hard soil.   supposed to be warmer and sunnier over th enext few days but if I can't get them in this coming weekend they'll just have to go in pots and be plunged where I need them next spring.

I've paid 8p on my credit card ( more than once ).

The first time I had no money aged 30 I bought a cabbage for 27p with a cheque which to their eternal credit the grocers never cashed as it would have bounced

The notice pinned to my front door says....

NO MORE POLITICAL LEAFLETS EVER AGAIN.....YES YOU

The Lib Dems posted through my door so I waited until he was walking down the other side of the road and handed it back to him with a few choice words. He is someone I speak to once a week on the allotments !!

I have cancelled my Labour membership months ago and still get emails and letters

I had a leaflet from the Greens so next day I walked 1 mile to their offices and returned it with a few more polite but choice words...recyclable of course.

Postie has delivered for The Brexit Party and others as I suspect the RM are contracted to do

Makes me laugh as none of their efforts will make ant difference

Give me a pile of manure and a bee hotel every day !!! o:)

I've been thinking the same @NewBoy2. I suppose it's good exercise going to the front door, picking up the sh*te and walking straight to the recycle bin with them.
I think I said it before on the forum, that a party might have got my vote if they'd not produced all that waste and put the money to better use instead.
Hopeless tossers - the lot of'em.

Every time we get an SNP one - I'm reminded of the story a friend told me. Their local office was where a butcher's shop had been. Quite traditional - with the coo in the front window etc.
When the wumman was voted in here, some wag openly stated to them that they might as well have left the coo there.

Managed to get all of my bulbs potted up @Lizzie27 and the species tulips planted out, so feeling smug. Same here @Obelixx, months of drought then more rain than you could ever need, but it’s forecast to be dry and sunny again tomorrow.
