Texas Peggy , it helps that we have a Maritime climate
  • My new China Town rose, it was an Easter present and lasted a lot longer than the usual chocolate Easter egg.One of just a few Tigridia flowers.  I had approx 40 bulbs which I had to transfer last year from another bed, and only 4 or 5 have flowered this year, I hope the other bulbs will flower next year, they are so pretty and unusual flowers. It's not often we have four water lilies in flower at the same time, so thought I would snap them whilst they are in full bloom.  The flowers last just a few days before closing down and dying off.

New acquisition for the hot border, Coreopsis Cherry Pie, low growing, mound forming, meant to be drought tolerant, we shall see!

Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

My 2nd favourite Nemesia.  Rhubarb and Custard.  Good enough to eat.

@1Runnybeak1 I have this too and love it, it survived all winter in my South facing garden in the South East, I'm sure it's not meant too!

@1Runnybeak1 @AlliumPurpleSensation I've had easter bonnet nemesias for almost 3 years now (2 winters). They are my most favourite flower and my best buy ever. I bought more varieties this year (rhubarb and custard, banana split, sunshine and blue rose) and I also grew the carnival type (not scented, bigger colourful flowers, annual). I like the scent of banana split but easter bonnet is still my favourite by far.

My nemesias tend to survive the winter RB and we are quite close.  Just put them somewhere sheltered and keep your fingers crossed.
