    Planting schemes, germinating fiddlesome seeds, trips to the garden centre for expensive perennials ... who needs it? Have a patch of waste ground by the garage, and let nature and the ‘weeds’ take hold!

    Papi Jo, your garden is an inspiration. Chapeau! Love your pictures too Busy Lizzie.

    Loving this thread, thanks everyone! My gardens nowhere near so grand as yours, but I'll try to post some pics soon.

    @Papi Jo
    Is that wisteria kept to just about head height there? I've got a fence to grow stuff up/along, and was wondering about wisteria but worried it would quickly outgrow the space... (Looking wonderful btw :smiley: )

    Such lovely photos - thanks everyone!   :)

    @Yviestevie - gorgeous rich ruby colours in your garden, stunning against that dark fence...

    Thanks @Liriodendron . I was a bit nervous of painting the fence black but it's worked really well.
    Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Been out and about taking some pictures today of what is in flower or nearly there.
    The garden is certainly coming back to life 🌻

    The garden continues to be a work in progress and hopefully one day I won't see any soil in my borders x
