@Alan Clark2 in Liverpool its a Angelica Gigas they been on it for days even before it properly opened.
@Hazyb I like kniphofia just ordered another one called Mango ( Popsicle series ) supposed to flower a lot longer, the one with the Echinacea is Tawny King bit battered now with the weather and some flowers going over , the apricot one is called Timothy
I never rated Kniphofia before either, @Hazyb but am pleased with my Wrexham Buttercup, put on a good show even in it’s first year. I am now looking for an orange one to go with it, but can’t decide between Mango Popsicle or Poco Orange (Timothy doesn’t seem to be available here).
Some dahlias:
Unknown dinnerplate one, wrongly packaged, was pinky red now turning salmon: Short one, Dreamy series, Mystic: Noordwjicks Glorie - both plants the same dahlia. Allegedly. One is all single and the other all double blooms:
My Bishop of Llandalf is taking so long to recover from being munched to the ground in Spring, the first flower is only just beginning to open. Still think this is the best of the red ones tho:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
