    A few bits that I'm finding appealing at the moment.


    Cordyline in among the Prunus. Still filling the garden with scent.


    Hydrangea petiolaris, Iris foetidissima, Philadelphus and Hydrangea paniculata 'Kyushu' in bud.


    Various hostas (one flowering), Cyperus alternifolius (umbrella plant), Geum rivale 'Leonard's variety'.
    Carex elata 'Aurea' (Bowles golden sedge) and Equisetim japonicum (barred horsetail) in the pond.

    Ooh that Iris is fab LG, thats going onto the wishlist, had no idea we had another native iris

    I love it, jellyfire, though it is known as 'Stinking iris'. I already posted this elsewhere, but here's what you get after the somewhat fleeting flowers (same plant):

    just been reading up on it, it sounds a great plant, lovely flowers and berries, good in tough positions, whats not to like!
