Feeling very curmudgeonly folks.  Was anyone on here with Extra Energy?  Went bust in November, saw a small article in the Sun business pages, offgem said to do nothing they would put us with another supplier.  25th November, got e-mail to say I was with Scottish Power, (was with them before Extra, but when I had a new meter installed the bloke put my night and day readings the wrong way round it took SP a staggering 9 months to sort, so I changed suppliers) 3rd December, e-mail asking for meter readings, not trusting them after last time, I rang said to the woman to make sure she put them the correct way round, picked a tarriff, she said everything would be set up withint 3/4 weeks.Bank statments realised no money had come out since November, rang the Bank who said they had been contacted by SP, who them failed to finnalised the Direct Debit mandate.  15th Jan, meter reader called, Never got e-mail confirming tarriff, account details, so rang again 22nd Jan, bloke said "back room" were working on the credit we had left with Extra,he said they had readings from 17th Jan, no record of the readings I gave them on 3/12.  Said it would take 2 weeks to set up Direct Debit, money would be comming out 3/2.  Today e-mail asking for bank details!!!!What have they done with all my details, then, lost them I suppose, tried to ring back, there is a wait of over an hour so have requested a call back.  Last time it took me 3 days to get through to them.Anyone else having these problems?

a dent in the back wheel arch. TBH, it's not as if it's a shiny new car: he's 12 years old now, but he didn't have any dents before today.

If you can have a look at the Money Saving Expert energy club. You can sign up and it will compare your current rates with their schemes and notify you when you can switch to save money. You don't have to pay or sign up to anything unless it appeals to you. They review all the suppliers based on their customer service too so you won't get stuck with another useless company.

It's a good website in general. I made about £500 over a couple of years switching bank accounts to get their switch incentive payments and got some good M&S vouchers with insurance deals.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

The wife just came back from the supermarket, apparently it's rammed full of people panic buying. The bakery said they can't churn bread out fast enough. The postman came extra early today and the recycling was even earlier. Not a flake of snow so far though...
The way people react is ridiculous.  Driving home and the local weather forecast came on virtually predicting the end of the world, then saying that up to 1 centimetre of snow is expected locally.  Not 1 metre, not 1 foot, not even 1 inch, one poxy centimetre.  Never was 'snowflake generation' so apt.

It makes you wonder what would happen if we had weather like that in Chicago over here. Can you imagine the news reports ?
