It’s nothing in the vast scheme of thing, but I feel as though I could with a little WD40 to slacken the jaw . Pansy your posts are fascinating . Always enjoy reading them .
OH is back from a three course festive lunch. Now we are out this evening for a festive skittles match which will involve more eating, of course. I can see my OH's tummy getting bigger daily.
Pansy - you are a tonic (large gin in mine please) - what a pants day you’ve had.
MU - my OH does that “looking at arrivals boards and reporting back” thing at bus stops, train stations & airports too. Drives me bonkers. I repay in kind by telling him every time the temp goes up or down by half a degree when it’s either very hot or very cold. Drives him scatty.😁
LB - hope you’re feeling ok & get your voice back soon. Loved the fally-over kitty last night. Noticed he’s already learned to do that nonchalent ‘It’s what I intended to do all along’ cat-recovery-thing.
Rubee - Ouch - holding your mouth open that long is the worst.
SGL - you do whatever works for the two of you this Xmas. If somebody gets antsy about it you may need to tell them where to get off. Have you thought about treating yourself to some of those boxes of nice M&S (other brands are available) canapes? Good for if either of you just fancy a little nibble of something tasty but have neither the inclination to cook nor the appetite to warrant spending time in the kitchen. There are quite a few you can freeze if they don’t get eaten straight away. Good standby for visitors too.
After a wet first night, the clouds cleared and we’ve had a rather easy (if chilly!) day ambling around Pickering. Visited the church to see the 15C wall paintings, did a little shopping and then drove up onto the moors in the hope of a sunset photograph but the clouds rolled in & spoilt the fun. Off to see the in-laws tomorrow & might finally get to meet our great-nephew - depends how mum’s feeling.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
