Pansy. You are definitely going to have to write a book - you have a way of telling a story which grips. If you don't have the gas meter, are they going to have to unhitch the electric one that is installed or are you gong to have to carry on anyway?
SGL. Pleased that your OH is coping with his treatment. Stick up for yourselves and don't be swayed by good intentioned people. Be very positive and tell visitors when you want them to leave.
Ruby. Glad it's all over for you. You have the gold star for keeping your mouth open for that long. I have trouble keeping mine open for the mega fast check up.
OMG PF. What an unmitigating nightmare. A few things popped into my mind. Were there any customers after you? If they are hoping everyone is to have a smart meter (over my dead body!) how long is it going to take them to get them installed when they can't even do one customer in one day. Forget it.
SGL - you have now broken the back of the treatments After today's session only two more weeks. Stay strong. We are all supporting you with virtual arms.
Ruby - you can join me in the speechless corner! Its all over and done with now.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I remember learning about quines and loons from a friend when I finished my secondary education in Forres - at the Academy. Very quaint I thought and how very appropriate for the boys?!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I have awakened from slumber! Well, two hours ago but have been doing unmentionable clothing wetting things.
Pansy, I snorted at "She's not a fly" I must say.
Smart meter people seem to think us young people are easy targets as we love everything digital. I mean I do, I also enjoy however being in charge of how much I pay..
Pansy, have you hit the bottle yet? The day you have had would drive you to drink. Further instalments awaited on the new neighbours and the road works.
Anytime I post a parcel I write the contents on it to save all the questions. M-U, I enjoy overhearing the weirdest conversations at bus stops.
Ruby, the worst thing about having my root canal treatment was keeping my mouth wide open for over half an hour so I sympathise with you.
SGL, a lazy Christmas day is just what you both need with a short family visit on Boxing day so the poppets can tell you what they got from Santa.

Piddling down now and blustery.
