  • Our usual handyman, changed a couple of fence panels for us this morning.  On these visits, I usually offer him a coffee and several biscuits, which he consumes with relish.  Today, he told me - whilst winking at me, "As our local hospital has no available beds, for the last few days I've been supplying myself with my own soft drinks."  Very wise, I thought.

Some politicians have been idiotic about the severity of the situation.  Comforting to see that ordinary people are not cavalier about this virus.

    It's been a horrible day.

A little comfort for those who feel they need it:

Lovely piece of music, Zoe.  Thank you.

It has been 4 whole horrible years and we now have this!  Along with the music, I usually comfort myself with stiff drink, whether or not the sun is over the yardarm!

Thank you for the music, Zoe.

Yes, 4 horrible years, culminating in this!

Some lucky creature has only had one week of stress and anxiety, though!

Things must be bad. Did you notice Johnson's takemeseriously hairdo?😱
The last time he sported that one was when he wanted to be elected Tory leader.

I certainly did, B, and things are bad.  My Italian-born dentist's father and his brother died yesterday.  Both of them in their 70s.  She's devastated and I'm sad for her and more than just worried about what is coming.

I think we are all coming to realise that there are things we cannot plan for or control whether it be disease or the effects or climate change and this is very frightening.
