  • Just a few minutes ago, I was banging pots and pans in the kitchen when I heard someone on the radio say, "There'll be a programme on Channel 5 tomorrow evening about some London bridges."  Thought: nah, and carried on "tidying up".  Suddenly they started talking about "The Women's Bridge" (!!!)  Apparently, Waterloo bridge was built by women.

    Well, I never....

    Not missing that!

Actually, it's nicknamed The Ladies' Bridge.

I'd never heard of that before.  Thank you Papi Jo.

I'm going to watch it too.

Re: "Women's" V "Ladies'", perhaps the people on the radio didn't care for "courtesy titles" (!).  Unless, of course, the banging of the pots and pans interfered with the acoustics in Danae's kitchen!

I see you edited it.  I suspect you got carried away and posted it twice! 🤣

That's interesting, Papi Jo ; but the people discussing it this morning used the word "women".  How times change!

Going back to reviving veg, I keep broccoli for longer by standing the stalk in a jam jar of water in the fridge. Change water every couple of days.
