Apparently, since the pandemic the number of heavy drinkers in the country has almost doubled.  Poverty is another misery.  Many people's diets are not health promoting, as fresh fruit and vegetables have become, for some, a luxury.

Chilly and mostly cloudy but spring is certainly winning!

    Beautiful pictures, Zoe!

With just 7 degrees out there this morning, wind and a seriously overcast sky, it doesn't quite FEEL like spring; but, every fruit tree in my garden is in bloom, apart from the apple trees, so it does LOOK like spring.  If it could only warm up a bit...

What! You want bread AND jam?  Outrageous greed.  You have brexit, that's a luxury in itself that all those millionaires so generously funded in order to improve your life, not to mention a blue passport, queues at Dover, an NHS that is, to a considerable extent, American owned, shortages etc., etc.

    Hooray for brexit.

I think the "cheap jam" stupid joke was told (in ...sincerity) by that man of the people, Jacob something or other; but not too sure.
