Saw the sun and decided to do some gardening in the afternoon.  Mistake!  Breeze froze even my bone marrow.  Weatherman had promised 14C...

Disappointed, joined OH on the sofa to watch Carol Klein visiting various lovely gardens, including Great Dixter, which I think is breathtakingly beautiful.

Best way to do gardening on a cold, cold day....

This reminded me, Zoe, of a programme OH and I were watching last Sunday, where they were showing an Irish breed of miniature cattle, called Dixter.  They had a mother and her female calf, which was called Saturn!

OH asked, did he say, Saturn?  When I agreed that he had, OH said, "I'm sure they will call her male calf Venus!"

Not being picky, but to clarify ... the cattle are Dexters ... a friend used to keep them

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Apologies!
They didn't spell it for me!  Moreover, they pronounced it exactly like The Great one!

Woke up this morning with radio adverts on.  One, "recruiting in your area" for people to provide "social care".  That's a euphemism in a million?

    Clever, isn't it?
Call any form of dementia an illness and the NHS would have to be involved.....
