When I turned the box on this morning to watch the London Marathon, I was somewhat amused to hear Gabby Logan talking about the queen's Canapé.  She didn't expand or expound, so not sure whether smoked salmon was chosen or some other inviting morsel...

We heard her too, Zoe.  A slip of the tongue can be amusing; you're right.  It also reminded me of Alice Beer on "This Morning" a few days before Christmas 2020, speaking of best CAN APES!

Television presenters have, on occasion, baffled, amused me thoroughly, or not so much; especially those who insist on telling us that they find whatever, "very ASS THETIC"....

Apparently today is World Teacher's Day.  Let's hope that those angels at their desks are a little less vicious today ...

Indeed it is.  Hats off to them all.  Lizzie, the current PM, when touting her talents for the Tory job, accused them of failing the children.  Those of us who perhaps know that attitude to education is mostly formed at home, appreciate what they give.  I, for one, am fully aware of how much I owe them.

    And so am I, Helen.

I never forget how highly Alexander thought of his teacher (Aristotle): "To my parents I owe life; to my teacher I owe the "ευ ζην" ".  (Broadly: the good quality life).
