I think Stacey Dooley's programme on the young homeless is on TV late tonight. It is sad, what a miserable start to adult life.

I've been cleaning and painting the sitting room passage. Taken a long time as the builder had dropped quite a bit of plaster and the walls and ceiling needed washing, breeze block dust on them. Also there are beams to paint around.

It's a terrible end to childhood Busy and such a waste of human potential as well as a waste of public money dealing with the fallout.   Depressing.

Cleaning and prep always take a long time if done thoroughly and then the cutting in too before you get to the easy bit.  Worth it tho for a better and longer lasting finish.

Anyone for an Idris doll for £850?

Local  authorities are legally required to support young people who have been Looked After until they are at least 21 ... longer if they are at uni. We all need to be aware that doing this costs money ... vote for an increase in Council Tax anyone?  Perhaps there should be a levy on Idris dolls?!  :/

    Good morning all  :)
Wonder what the day has in store for us ...

Morning Dove 😀. Who knows what the day has in store....the anticipation, the anticipation 😉

Heading in to our London office today.  Serendipitous (get me with my big words 🤗) because I am going to a retirement “do” in town later.  Someone who I met when I first started work (I had a brief spell in the Civil Service).  He was on the same training programme, although a couple of years older as he had done other things first. That was 32 years ago 😱.  He was diagnosed with Parkinsons abot 15 years ago, so life is a bit of a struggle for him, but he soldiers on pretty well.  Nice that he will now be able to have some time to spend doing whatever he wants.
  • Morning @chicky :D ... enjoy the ‘do’  B)

Yes Dove. Now flopping in front of TV to finish off the news, the first half was Trump and the second half sport🤬.  Hopefully something good is coming on soon. We saw a good show about children being giving medication. Chris van ... forget how to spell his name. His twin brother Xand also does similar shows. 😏
