    Putting me to shame Dove.
All I have done is sit and laugh at OH as she mows the leaves off the lawns, whilst all around her, more leaves are cascading from the trees.

Just sold for 91 million dollars.
I really like E. Hopper's work, what do you think?

  • Oh yes, we're big Hopper fans in this house ... just wish living painters could get that much for our work ... think of all the plants I could buy ;)

Love Hopper, especially Nighthawks. He says so much, so simply. Don't think I could *quite* stretch to owning one.

Just in from planting some species tulips as deep as I possibly could, in the hope that the squirrels can't get down that far. Lunch, then back out while I can, to plant some daffs I'd forgotten.

Good timing with the Madeira trip, Liri. Have a beautiful time. We love Madeira too, but have only been in the spring. Not been since the kids started school as it's so expensive in the school holidays, but I'd love to go back. Enjoy. Take photos!

We've been before, but not for a few years... might be less adventurous in our walks now OH is a bit less mobile...

  • We went to Madeira in March. Loved the cable car up to Monte from Funchal and the toboggan ride down. Enjoy yourself Liri.
  • Thanks, @pottiepam.   :)

Have a great time Liri.  Good timing really and I hope it helps.

That painting - don't like the hats and can think of far better things to do with that much money.   Just don't understand sums like that for some paint on canvas and would want something much more interesting to hang on my wall.
