Glad all went well Liri, and enjoy Madeira ... MIL loved it ... even the hills e,
Creamed leek and potato soup made, pastry for pie made and resting, two loads of washing done, veg prepped for this evening, paperwork and phonecalls done, floors swept ....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Putting me to shame Dove. All I have done is sit and laugh at OH as she mows the leaves off the lawns, whilst all around her, more leaves are cascading from the trees.

Love Hopper, especially Nighthawks. He says so much, so simply. Don't think I could *quite* stretch to owning one.
Just in from planting some species tulips as deep as I possibly could, in the hope that the squirrels can't get down that far. Lunch, then back out while I can, to plant some daffs I'd forgotten.
Good timing with the Madeira trip, Liri. Have a beautiful time. We love Madeira too, but have only been in the spring. Not been since the kids started school as it's so expensive in the school holidays, but I'd love to go back. Enjoy. Take photos!

Have a great time Liri. Good timing really and I hope it helps.
That painting - don't like the hats and can think of far better things to do with that much money. Just don't understand sums like that for some paint on canvas and would want something much more interesting to hang on my wall.
